David Herron

David Herron

David grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington. Stuck somewhere in the middle of three other brothers, David probably spent a lot of his childhood fighting, but now enjoys more refined activities such as playing ping-pong, swimming, reading, playing the piano and eating brownie sundaes. He also must be charming and persuasive, as he has been pulled over three times by the cops but only gotten a ticket once. Currently, David attends Georgetown University where he just finished his first year. He's majoring in International Political Economy and wants to join the Foreign Service after graduation and live in as many foreign countries as possible. He especially wants to travel throughout South America. He's already been to China once in high school to visit his school's sister school in Beijing and Shanghai. Being here before, he knows China lacks certain items that are easily accessible in the US, and wishes he could bring steak, milk and grapefruits in his luggage. He decided to do LE this summer because he wanted a chance to experience rural Chinese culture, volunteer and have an adventure, and is really looking forward to teaching the kids.
