Although most of us will not be arriving in China until early July, Amanda McDonald has been studying and waiting for us to arrive in China since February. An incoming senior at George Washington University, Amanda is an adventurer who is studying International Relations and would be at home living in a foreign city for years to come, especially if that city were in Egypt or Latin America. Her accomplishments in ballroom dancing have become a big part of her college career, but few people know some of the intricacies of her personality. For example, she is a Minesweeper maniac, spending hours on end playing this computer game. She loves Key Lime cheesecake, despises soggy bread, and is a fan of the movie The Emperor's New Groove. Amanda is used to being a role model, since she has two younger sisters, and she will undoubtedly be a role model for the us younger volunteers this summer too!
